The first sound we hope to hear when a baby is born is their wail, its intensity and pitch are oddly comforting as signs that this little life is breathing. This instrument -- the human voice -- is our most primal sound, our first source of communication as human beings. Yet, most go through life never knowing how it works, why they think they can't sing, and why they sound so nasal on a voicemail. This four-part course will unveil the unknown, misunderstood, and newly discovered truths about this biologically embedded instrument. Whether you're a lifelong singer or think you can't sing to save your life, this course is for everyone who wants to learn more (or something brand new) about the human voice.

Join Tom Shoebridge for an exciting six-week journey into the world of cinema! Each week, you'll explore captivating films, followed by engaging discussions that will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the elements that are assembled to  make a film truly exceptional. Whether you're a seasoned cinephile or just starting out, Tom's remarkable expertise will  broaden your horizons, elevate your understanding and deepen your love for the art of film. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to take your viewing experience to a whole new level!

Join father daughter team, Keith and Alex Blades, as they explore the rich history and evolution of the movement dedicated to preserving architectural heritage. With their inimitable passion, expertise and humourous banter they will examine the core values of the field, such as sustainability, cultural significance, and community engagement. They will also look at the decline of traditional crafts and the implications this has on conservation practices. Additionally, it discusses the impact of legislative protections on preserving historical buildings and the challenges faced in maintaining their integrity in a modern context.
